Rediscovering my yoga journey: A Path to Strength and Balance
It was the first time I realized I could strengthen my entire body, muscles, bones and joints, simply through yoga practice.
Well, it was not so simple at the beginning. But with consistent practice and lots of patience, I slowly built up my strength and flexibility until I could complete a full yoga session without taking breaks.
I loved how my body felt afterward—the rush of energy from deep breathing, the openness in my chest and shoulders, and the sense of activation and empowerment in every part of my body.
Almost a decade after, I decided to fully embrace my passion for yoga and take it to a deeper level.
I started an exciting journey—a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program, which not only will help me take my yoga practice to another level, but also allow me to help others to practice and enjoy yoga in their own journeys.
I know the training will be challenging, especially with a little human brewing in my belly. I was in my second trimester when I started.
I used to think that I had to give up my own pursuing once motherhood kicked in (or at least that's what I did with my first pregnancy.) But now I know my body can handle more—It's all in the mindset of what I can do.
Just like in life, there'll never be a perfect time to start something new.
First month in, I've already gained tons of insights on modifying various poses for people who are in special conditions (pregnancy, back, knee or shoulder injuries, or people who have problem with flexibility, etc.)
I'm deeply grateful for my supportive family and friends, who have always been my greatest cheerleaders in every endeavor I've pursued.
I'm also thankful for my body and mind for doing all the hard work.
Here's a quote from Deepak Chopra that I'd like to share with you:
“When mind, body, and spirit are in harmony, happiness is the natural result.”
I hope you learn to fully embrace what you have in the present moment, and join me in rediscovering the deep connection between your mind and body.
Namaste,
